[ARCHIVED] Sewer work starting Monday may result in overnight lane closures on Wooster, South College

ScheduledMaintenance

Drivers may experience temporary lane closures on portions of Wooster Street and South College Road starting Monday, February 18, as Cape Fear Public Utility Authority conducts inspections and maintenance on sanitary sewer mains.

The work will run through mid-March.

On Wooster, work will occur during the day, between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m., approximately one block in each direction starting at 17th Street and continuing to Fourth Street, as illustrated on this map.

On College, work will occur in the nighttime, between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., approximately one block in each direction starting at Lake Avenue and continuing to Wilshire Boulevard, as illustrated on this map.

During this period, contractors for CFPUA will do video inspections on and clean, repair and install lining as needed on about 63,000 feet of sanitary sewer main. This program helps to minimize issues within the sewer system.
