[ARCHIVED] CFPUA Community Meeting on GenX Tonight at 6 PM at Cape Fear Community College’s Union Station

Tonight, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm, CFPUA will host the first of four community meetings on per-fluorinated compounds and the Sweeney Water Treatment Plant. CFPUA Executive Director, Jim Flechtner, will present on interim and long-term plans to address contamination from per-fluorinated compounds detected in the Cape Fear River. After the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to ask CFPUA staff questions and provide input.

The meeting will be held at:

Cape Fear Community College’s Union Station

Room U-470 (located on the 4th floor) 

502 N. Front Street, Wilmington, NC 

Parking is available in nearby parking garages and on surrounding streets. Union Station can also be reached using Wave Transit routes 101 and 207, and on the free trolley serving downtown Wilmington.
