WILMINGTON, NC, May 14, 2014: The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (CFPUA) is pleased to announce that – starting with today’s Board meeting - it has launched its new E-Agenda system for use in all of its Board and committee meetings. The move, which was approved in the summer of 2013, will significantly reduce the number of printed materials required during previous sessions.

The launch followed a pilot period when board and CFPUA staff members were introduced to the system, called MinuteTraq, and trained on its capabilities. MinuteTraq is designed to save its users time and money by automating lengthy, paper-based processes. Transparency is also increased; CFPUA meetings agendas and minutes can be easily viewed by clicking on a link available through our homepage, www.cfpua.org. Just click on the CFPUA Meeting Minutes & Agenda link found under Quick Links.

“We’re always looking for ways to become more efficient and cut addressable costs,” said Jim Flechtner, CFPUA Executive Director. “Not only does our new E-Agenda cut down on our environmental footprint, it provides our customers with an enhanced, easier-to-use window into our work.”

For interested customers and members of the public without computer access, a paper copy of meeting agendas, materials and minutes will still be available for review by contacting Donna Pope, CFPUA Clerk to the Board, at (910) 332-6543, or Mike McGill, CFPUA’s Chief Communications Officer, at (910) 332-6704.
