[ARCHIVED] LIFTED: TRAFFICE & PRECAUTIONARYY BOIL WATER FOR HARNETT ST. AREAS HAVE BEEN LIFTED

UPDATE 12:30PM 2/21/2014
LIFTED: PRECAUTIONARYY BOIL WATER & TRAFFIC ADVISORIES FOR HARNETT ST. AREAS HAVE BEEN LIFTED

Weather permitting, on Thursday, February 20th, CFPUA construction crews will be conducting six repairs of water valves as part of its Water Quality valve exercise and identification program.

The areas in the attached maps will not have water service beginning at 9:00 a.m. with service expected to be restored by no later than 4:00 p.m. After service is restored, customers in the areas will be placed under precautionary boil water advisories. Those advisories are also attached.

The areas affected include:
1) All addresses between N. 4th and N. 6th Streets and between Harnett and Nixon Streets; and
2) All addresses between N. 4th and N. 8th Streets and between Harnett and Campbell Streets.

Because of the size of the areas involved, CFPUA will use the New Hanover County emergency notifications system when the advisory goes into effect and is lifted.

Traffic will be impacted in the area. We will be allowing local travel to every resident during these repairs but ask for thru traffic to find alternates routes.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call.
