During the CFPUA Board’s regular meeting Wednesday, August 14, Leslie Hudson was sworn in as the Board’s newest member.
Ms. Hudso
n has lived in Wilmington since 2007. She works at the University of North Carolina Wilmington as a member of the Vice Chancellor for Business Affairs leadership team, where she manages the University’s debt portfolio, unrestricted trust fund cash investments, and the University’s credit rating.
Prior to moving to Wilmington, she was a Vice President at Ewing Bemiss & Company, a Richmond, Virginia-based investment bank. She holds a Master of Business Administration from the Darden School at the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Virginia Tech University. She and her husband have two sons.
Ms. Hudson was appointed to the CFPUA Board by Wilmington City Council, replacing member Bill Norris, who stepped down from the Board in May. In addition to the assumption of her Board duties, Ms. Hudson will serve on the Board’s Sustainability and Communications committees in the coming year. Her term ends in 2027.
