[ARCHIVED] CFPUA offices to close early Thursday for severe weather threat

CFPUA’s offices will close at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 18, in advance of severe weather expected to reach the Wilmington area Thursday afternoon.

CFPUA’s Customer Service phone lines will also close at 4 p.m. Customers may still use the Interactive Voice-Response system by calling 910-332-6550 or manage their accounts online at CFPUA.org/Online.

Customers can report water and sewer emergencies by calling CFPUA’s 24-hour emergency hotline at 910-332-6565.

CFPUA’s customer service centers are expected to open at 9 a.m. Friday, March 19. Any changes to CFPUA’s hours will be posted here.

The National Weather Service’s Wilmington office has issued an alert that damaging winds, hail, tornadoes, and frequent, dangerous lightning are possible throughout the region late Thursday. CFPUA advises customers to stay vigilant and monitor weather forecasts.
