[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: Boil water advisory lifted, repairs complete near 5200 block of Carolina Beach Rd.

CFPUA has lifted a precautionary boil water advisory issued Tuesday following a water main break near the 5200 block of Carolina Beach Road.

Crews have repaired the break, which affected customers at 5210 through 5226 S. College Road, and at 5253, 5307, 5308, 5309, 5318, and 5325 Carolina Beach Road.

Periods of low or no pressure in the water distribution system increase the potential for back siphonage and introduction of bacteria into the water system.

Before a boil water advisory is lifted, CFPUA lab staff test the water to ensure it is safe to drink.
