CFPUA Launches New GenX Timeline to Website

Since June 2017, CFPUA has been providing regular updates to the community on the issue of emerging contaminants. These updates have remained on our website, and they give a detailed history of the issue and CFPUA action to address water quality concerns.

To provide a summary of these updates for visitors to our site, we have created a new timeline. Visitors to the page may scroll through and watch news clips, read documents and learn more about the issue of emerging contaminants in the Cape Fear River.

Staff will continue to update the timeline as our work on this issue progresses.

New GenX Results From the Sweeney Water Treatment Plant

We have received results for April 3 from our on-going GenX testing at the Sweeney Water Treatment Plant. Levels of GenX continue to remain below the DHHS health goal of 140 parts per trillion (ppt)."sweeney.4_18JPG"
