[ARCHIVED] Sewer project on Market Street to begin next month

A project to rehabilitate CFPUA sanitary sewer infrastructure near the intersection of Market Street and Porters Neck Road will begin on Monday, June 5, 2023, and continue for approximately four months.

During the first month of the project there will be no scheduled interruptions to traffic near the work area. Starting after the July 4 holiday, the right turn lane from northbound Market Street onto Porters Neck Road will be closed to traffic.  

That lane closure is expected to remain in place for approximately 8 weeks. This notice will be updated once a specific date has been selected for the closure to begin.

Right-turning traffic will still be allowed onto Porters Neck Road from the right-hand through-lane of Market Street. Access to the Oak Landing shopping center will remain open.
