The CFPUA Board will hold a public hearing on CFPUA’s proposed Fiscal Year 2022 operating budget at its regular meeting at 9 a.m., Wednesday, June 9. A vote on the budget will follow the public hearing.
The meeting and public hearing will be held at the Wilmington Convention Center at 10 Convention Center Drive.
For the third year in a row, CFPUA’s recommended operating budget does not include an increase to the rates customers pay for water and sewer service. The $91.97 million proposed FY22 budget is a 2.2 percent increase over the current budget, accommodating the resources to keep up with customer growth and repair and replace aging infrastructure in the community’s water and sewer system.
Highlights from the proposed FY22 budget can be found in the table below:

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, a limited number of seats will be available at the meeting for the public to access live video and audio feeds of the proceedings. Attendees are required to wear face masks in accordance with Wilmington Convention Center safety protocols.
Parking is available in the Convention Center Parking Deck on Nutt Street. The public is asked to enter the Convention Center either from the parking deck or the Convention Center Drive entrance.
