[ARCHIVED] CFPUA extends suspension of service disconnections through July

As our community continues to see impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic, CFPUA has extended its suspension of delinquency-related service disconnections and late fees through July.

CFPUA temporarily stopped all delinquency-related service disconnections on March 13 in response to COVID-19. On March 31, Gov. Roy Cooper issued Executive Order 124, directing North Carolina utilities to halt service disconnections and late fees or interest on any bill issued through the end of May.

On Saturday, May 30, Gov. Cooper issued a new order extending the suspension through July 29.

It is important to note that regular service charges will continue to accrue on all active CFPUA accounts. If you would like to talk with a CFPUA customer service representative about establishing a payment plan, call 910-332-6550 to schedule an appointment.

If you need help paying your CFPUA bill, contact WATERway N.C. by visiting www.WATERway-online.com. This program, administered by the New Hanover County Department of Health and Human Services, provides needs-based financial assistance to customers unable to pay water and sewer bills.
